Courageous legislators, in 2010, helped me pass the Utah Firearms Freedom Act. This bill was not about guns, it was about forcing the federal courts to consider how far the federal government has wandered from the simple limitations embodied in the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In late September, 2010, the Lt. Governor and a group of concerned legislators (including me) visited Arizona to learn from their struggles with illegal immigration. The experience was eye-opening.
