As a conservative, I believe...
- The traditional family is the fundamental unit of our society. Supporting family-oriented legislation continues to be my highest priority in the legislature.
- Unborn children deserve our protection.
- Senior citizens deserve our respect and care.
- Personal initiative is better than government programs.
- We should always look to the United States Constitution as the foundation and framework of our government. It is both an inspired and an inspiring document.
- Government must be required to exercise fiscal responsibility. Lawmakers and government employees must remember that taxpayers are not a bottomless money pit.
- Government should provide only those services that cannot be provided by individuals or private organizations.
Free enterprise is a far more effective tool than legislated quotas.
- We need less government. The government that governs least, governs best.
