Dayton Wins State District 15 -- Daily Herald
November 8, 2006 Republican Margaret Dayton won the race for District 15 in the State Senate Tuesday by a large margin. Dayton said she was excited by the win. She said she will continue to support the constitution and conservative values such as limited government and family-friendly policies. "I will continue with the same agenda that I have had in the House for the past two years," she said. Dayton said she feels honored people chose her to represent them. She said she considers the right of Americans to vote as a sacred trust, and is humbled by the opportunity to serve. Dayton was first elected to office in 1996, and previously served as a state representative. In this election she ran against Democrat Bethanie Newby and Gordon Mella of the Constitution party. |
